June is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Black people are at a lower rate to get skin cancer but, it’s possible. This month is devoted to educating the public regarding early prevention, detection, and treatment. As summer approaches, here are some helpful to prevent and protect your skin.
*Wear clothing and sunglasses to protect your skin and eyes.
*Avoid the sun during sun hours.
*Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
*Reapply sunscreen every two hours if you sweat or swim.
If you see or find any suspicious skin blemishes, please seek medical attention.
