Health Tips 9-28-2025

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. Suicide is death by injuring oneself with the intent to die. Suicide is connected to other forms of violence and injury. Individuals with a history of bullying, child abuse, experience violence, or sexual violence tend to have a higher suicide risk. Family, community, and medical/healthcare support can decrease suicidal behaviors and thoughts. Please consult a professional for help if you or someone you know is talking about committing suicide. Call 988/KY Suicide, Mental Health & Substance Abuse Lifeline.
