Health Tips 5-5-2024

May is National High Blood Pressure Education Month. Having high blood pressure or hypertension is a huge risk factor for heart disease. High blood pressure is known as a "SILENT KILLER."

Educating yourself regarding your blood pressure means:

*Knowing your blood pressure reading.

* Taking your prescribed medication as directed.

* STOP SMOKING!

*Incorporate healthy lifestyle changes (DASH Diet, exercise, and reduce stress, etc...)

Educating yourself regarding blood pressure issues can save your life. Also, please consult your PCP with any questions or concerns about your blood pressure.
